PALS Instructor Renewal Course
Description and Target Audience: This course is designed to allow current PALS Instructors to renew their instructor status. PALS instructors must have an in-depth knowledge of and experience base in all 12 of the PALS core cases as well as the ability to effectively deliver and discuss this knowledge. This renewal is for current members of the CoxHealth Training Center. If you are not a member and wish to attend you must contact the Education Center to gain permission.
Testing: Written exam which must be passed with an 84%. One-on-one skills testing required.
Course Length: 4 hours
Certification Length: 2 years
Includes: Updated materials and certification card.
Location: CoxHealth Education Center, CoxHealth North, K400, 4th Floor, Classroom #1.
Directions: Enter Cox North from the Robberson Ave. Northwest Entrance. Upon entering the building turn right and take the elevator to the 4th floor. You will arrive in the Education Center lobby.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association.
